Wetzelland Ohio

  • So, I'm lucky enough to get to a lot of rallys and I've been hearing about Wetzelland for a long time.  I happened to be in Ohio this summer...excellent, I decide to check it out.  What a yawn-fest.  First off: $40 each for my old lady and me to get in, $10 to park a cage or $100 for an RV with no hook-ups...a little pricey, but I figure what the hell-it's a great show, right? The entire crowd was asleep on their feet the whole weekend, the only thing keeping them upright was you had to keep dodging golf carts. ( By the way, when did it get to be cool to bring a freaking golf cart to a bike rally? )  There were way way too many fat middle aged women with their tops off.  Now, I'm not running down any lady 30, 40 even 50 who tries to keep herself together and wants to show off alittle, but apparently most of the ladies there don't own mirrors.  And what was up with all the naked men?  At every show there are 1 or 2 guys who think their package is pretty, but when there are a dozen or more, well you have to figure they're not trolling just for women.  Start the Village People music.  It's 2009, we'll all deal with it.  For entertainment, a couple local bands were pretty good, but they didn't start till 6pm on Friday night, and nothing else to do all day.  Saturday night they had Blackfoot headlining.  You old guys might remember they had like 1 hit in the 70's.  They were good, but for $180, the old lady and me could have gone to see ZZ Top.  They had bike games that most people didn't see because there were no announcements, same with the bike contest. Pretty thin on the food selection, the vendors were mostly crappy.  Very disapointing, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone.

  • HDBeech Well, that sucks. You still have the rest of the year to make it right and find a better rally!
