The Motorcycle Riders Foundation (MRF) proudly congratulates Jay Jackson on his appointment to the Motorcyclist Advisory Council (MAC) at the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Jay was previously appointed to the council before it was dissolved last year, and the MRF is grateful to see his expertise, leadership, and commitment to motorcyclists once again recognized through this reappointment. His longstanding advocacy for riders and deep understanding of motorcycle safety and transportation issues make him an outstanding choice to serve on the MAC.
The MRF also congratulates Sherm Packard, MRF Hall of Famer, on his appointment to the council. Sherm’s decades of service to the motorcycling community and tireless dedication to protecting the rights and freedoms of riders have left a lasting impact nationwide.
The reestablishment of the MAC ensures that motorcyclists continue to have a voice in federal transportation policy discussions. Having experienced advocates like Jay Jackson and Sherm Packard serving on the MAC is critical to ensuring the concerns of America’s riders are heard.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced that the first meeting of the newly reestablished Motorcyclist Advisory Council will take place on July 15th.
The MRF looks forward to working with the council and supporting its efforts to improve safety, promote awareness, and protect the interests of motorcyclists across the country.
