Meeting of the Minds

  •

We hope that you will join us in Milwaukee, WI for the Motorcycle Riders Foundation’s 2015 Meeting of the Minds conference, September 24-27th hosted by our partners, ABATE of Wisconsin, Inc. Have you registered yet? The early registration deadline is only 10 days away. You must pre-register by August 24th  to receive the early member registration rate of $80.

We encourage you to register prior to August 24. Not only will you save $10.00 on your registration, you will greatly assist our hosts in planning for the event. The more accurate a number provided, the easier it will be to assure they print conference workbooks for every attendee, not to mention stocking up on food and beverages for the Hospitality Room.

You can now pre-order your MOTM event t-shirt during registration, but you must do so before the early registration deadline. This is a great way to be sure you get a shirt in the size and color that you need. Event shirts will be available at the conference, but we encourage you to pre-order to assure your choice. This year you can purchase a long sleeve shirt in gray only or short sleeve shirts in the following colors: black, gray, lime green, royal blue or yellow. Pre-ordered shirts can be picked up in the products room during the conference.

The MRF encourages you, if you have not done so already, to make your hotel arrangements by August 24th to receive the conference rate of $95. After that date, not only will the room rate go up, but room availability is not guaranteed at the host hotel. Reservations can be made at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield by calling (262) 364-1100.

The Friday Night Fundraiser will be hosted by ABATE of Wisconsin. All donations will benefit Motorcycle Riders Foundation - Awareness & Education. The fundraiser will be at Hal's Harley Davidson - 1925 S Moorland Rd. Brookfield, WI 53005. Transportation will be provided by ABATE of WI - Milwaukee & Waukesha County Regions. Your $12.00 donation to the event will include a traditional Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry courtesy of Hupy & Abraham, SC. (An alternative entrée will be available.) Live music will be provided by "Doctor Snake Oil". A cash bar will be operated by Harley Owners Group Kettle Moraine Chapter Wisconsin.

Harley-Davidson Plant tours will be available for our attendees who arrive early on Thursday. Space for tours is limited. We encourage you to sign up for a slot on our website. At this time there is no scheduled transportation provided. If that situation should change we will let you know. The plant is approximately 15 miles from the hotel. For those hoping to stay in Milwaukee and do the factory tour on Monday, be advised that the factory is scheduled to shut down for production change at close of business Friday, September 25th.

If you are flying in to Milwaukee, the hotel offers a free airport shuttle on a limited basis. You must call (262) 364-1100 for pick up. The hotel requests you call when you are on the ground with your baggage. Shuttles run from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you are arriving off hours, please call Paul Vita in advance at (414) 698-7285 and he will do his best to provide transportation for you.

To view the agenda or to register for this event, you can visit our website at www.mrf.org or by contacting the office at (202) 546-0983. You can also download registration forms and mail them to: 1325 G Street N.W. Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20005.
