  • Snakechrmr Starter Ring gear on the clutch basket. Replaced last July and lasted 3 months +/-. Replacing the gear w/Barnett w/matched starter clutch.
  • Snakechrmr Seems a fairly common problem on early 96ci Dynas. Then I'm gonna put compression releases on her. She's got 110K miles and I got a lot of miles planned in the coming year. Don't ever want to pull the primary again.
  • Edgewalker54 Yep, comp-release should help. Also matching ring gear and starter clutch should help too. Good riding to ya sir!
