Lucky you. I wish I could see a new bike in my immediate future. I would probably consider the Switchback to replace my 1999 Dyna. Seems the older I get the more stuff I need to have with me

Congrats, man !   For me, HD really nailed it with this one. What a motorcycle is supposed to look like....IMO. Nice functionality and a great all-around bike as well. When you look at that switchback, without its bags it looks a lot to me like a Victory V92C...the original Victory platform...and by far my favorite Victory. Ride the hell out of it...I know you will.

Well I can report after a little 100 mile riding around Carmel Valley and down past Bixby Bridge that THIS is one sweet rollin machine! Wow! Corners like a dream, lots of power (after I put on the breather and muffler) and smooth, they really went out of their way putting the suspension together on this baby! I love that it not only has a clock and dual trip monitors but it's got the gear number and tach built into the odometer display. The new switch housing buttons are different, much easier to depress than the previous, I couldn't get used to just barely touching the buttons, probably end up with divits if I don't pull my head out of my 4 point of contact! Anyway, I LOVE THIS MACHINE! Yeah it's new, but man it's just a pleasure to ride. What drew me to it initially was that it reminded me of those old 4 speed shovels. Yeah it's not as big as the Road King, but I've ridden my share of those and the neato factor for me about the Road King is that I can drag the hell outta the floorboards on almost any turn where as the Dyna you have to be on the yolk some and in a good pitch to drag the floorboards on em!
To me this is Harley's IT bike, because IT is just kick ass, a pleasure to ride, smooth and comfortable and VERY nimble! I may actually hold onto this one!
