The Friends of DeKalb Animal Shelter are excited to host our second Hogs for Dogs Poker Run on Saturday, October 16th.
We will be playing 5 card poker. The Poker Run will begin and end at Twisted Oaks Bar & Grill in Smithville, TN (where you will receive your first and last card).
The ticket price (through October 9th) is $20 for each rider or passenger. This includes one poker hand and a $5 food voucher for use at Twisted Oaks. Additional poker hands can be purchased on the day of the ride as well.
Event T-shirts will be available the day of the race.
There will be a payout for the two BEST hands and a door prize for the WORST hand.
Additional activities at Twisted Oaks:
* Cat and Dog Adoption Event
* Silent Auction (Silent auction items from Wildwood Resort, Tennessee Aquarium, Canoe the Caney, Climb Murfreesboro, and other items from local businesses.)
* 50/50 raffle and door prizes
Registration will begin at 10:00 am with kickstands up at 11:00 am. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the ride.

All proceeds benefit animals through the Friends of DeKalb Animal Shelter, a 501c3 animal advocacy organization. The Friends of DeKalb Animal Shelter is a non-profit organization founded in 2020 to support the DeKalb Animal Shelter and the humane treatment of animals through fundraising, education, and advocacy. Our goal is to raise funds to help cover the cost of spaying and neutering, to assist with other medical bills, and other medical needs.
