    About the event...
The 12th Annual Ride for the Red motorcycle run will be held Saturday, Sept 5, of Labor Day weekend to raise funds for the Service to the Armed Forces program of the NY Finger Lakes American Red Cross. This ride is supported by the Arkport-Corning HOG (Harley Owners Group) chapter and Arkport Cycles and is in honor of local Veterans and Gold Star families from all wars.

Ride for the Red has raised more than $77,000 since its inception in 2009. Corning personal injury law firm Welch, Donlon & Czarples PLLC is the ride’s major sponsor.

Ride for the Red will be held from the American Legion at 45 Olcott Road S, Big Flats, NY. The ride leaves at 10:30 AM sharp and will be led by NYS motorcycle troopers through the beautiful Finger Lakes Region. A meal will be provided to all participants.

On-line pre-registration is highly recommended at www.CorningRideForTheRed.org. Deadline to pre-register is Aug 26. Registration runs from 8:30 to 10:00 AM on the day of the ride.

The American Red Cross will also hold a blood drive at the Big Flats American Legion on Sept 5 from 1 to 5 PM. An appointment to donate can be scheduled at www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive

Complete event details can be found at the pre-registration web site.
