Event Desc

  • January 26th, 2018, Connor Willaford, 22, set out for a ride on his Harley that would forever change his life. As he sat in front of his house, waiting to turn into his driveway, he was hit from behind by a distracted driver going approximately 65 mph. She never saw him, never hit her brakes. Connor was thrown into the air, up and over her vehicle, and landed on the pavement in front of oncoming traffic. Luckily he was wearing a good helmet as he suffered no severe head injuries. However, he did sustain several broken ribs, broken hips, a broken leg, broken back, and a severe spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis from his waist down. He spent 2 weeks in the ICU at Kennestone Hospital and was then transported to The Shepherd Center in Atlanta until his release on April 10th, 2018. Ambria Derry, his girlfriend, has never left his side. She spent every night sleeping in a recliner beside his bed, tending to him throughout the night. Now, she is his full time caregiver, taking him to therapy 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. We are raising funds to get him his independence back in the form of a GMC Sierra Denali.

Classic Cars, Show Bikes, Food Trucks, Craft Vendors, 50/50 Raffle, Silent Auction, Live Music, and more! Registration starts at 8 for Poker Run, kickstands up at 9:30. Car show registration starts at 9:00 am.
