  • The LIGHT HOUSE SCENIC RIDE

This ride is free and open to all bikes, all riders.

Starting at Panera Bread on SR 441 in Apopka at 9 AM Sunday May 7. This ride takes you over lightly traveled country roads, thru the Eastern end of Central Florida with a lunch stop near the working light house on the Atlantic Ocean. The tip of the peninsula is covered by Oak trees.

The vista is awesome, the weather sunny and a healthy salty sea breeze. This working light house is a National Monument and still today, guides boaters into the inlet . The route runs along the dunes, home to nesting sea turtles, pelicans, seagulls, coons and stray cats. The light house sports an interesting gift shop.

Then lunch at Hidden Treasure a typically open Florida eatery reminiscent of the Keys. Pastel colored wooden furniture, tiled bar, a troubadour, water all around, boaters passing by on the waterway, friendly service by young smiling maidens and the food? Great food for great affordable prices
The total distance is 150 miles. Round trip.
Bring your camera, your babe, a few friends, a bottle with water and UV block.
    Life is good.
