Hogs and Horses “ Ride for Our Troops” was originally organized when long time Acton residents, Michelle and Blaine Blackstone, John Reel and “Irish” Johnny Conway wanted to find a way to show their appreciation and respect for the men and women who serve in our country’s armed forces.
The idea took root and quickly developed into the “Hogs & Horses” ride with friends and associates eagerly joining in to help organize, donate, volunteer and participate.

In the past Hogs & Horses has raised funds for The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and while we continue to support and salute this fine organization, the H&H board has become aware of a need closer to home.

Once again the proceeds for this year’s event will benefit the Veterans Outreach at Grace Resource Center, as well as other local veterans groups. The funds will be earmarked for providing food, clothing, medical care, counseling, job placement and more for our men and women who are in need of these basic services after returning from their service.

Our goal remains the same: Raise awareness, raise money, show our support and respect for our troops and have a great time while we are doing it!

A few vendor spots are still available for the early bird cost of 35.00 plus a donation item valued at 20.00 or more, if you sign up and pay before April 25th. Any applications, received after April 25th will be the regular vendor fee of 45.00 plus the donation item. Returning vendors will be given priority. This is a juried vendor event and we are specifically searching for western, motorcycle and high quality items, only. Submission of your application does not guarantee acceptance as a vendor.
