Event Desc

  • This will be an escorted ride from New River Harley Davidson to the 2D Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune for the battalions annual memorial service and 33rd birthday ceremony. There is no cost for the event; however, donations are always graciously accepted and benefit the 2D LAR War Memorial Enhancement Project.

    A brief timeline:
    0900 Hrs: Stage at New River Harley Davidson
    1000 Hrs: LAV 25 Variants arrive at New River Harley Davidson
    1030 Hrs: Kickstands Up
    1200 Hrs: Socialization at 2D LAR Bn.
    1300 Hrs: Memorial Service and birthday ceremony
    1400 Hrs: Conclusion of event.

    If base access is needed please shoot us a message at the number below or email us by 21 March. We will need certain rider and vehicle information for gate passes. If you already have base access all we as you to do is provide a name and type of vehicle.

    Riders Must adhere to base regulations regarding Personal Protective Equipment:

    1. A properly fastened (under the chin) protective helmet which meets the standards of SNELL, ANSI, or the DOT.

    2. Impact or shatter resistant goggles or full-face shield attached to the helmet. A windshield, eyeglasses or fairing alone is not considered proper eye protection.

    3. Hard-soled shoes with heels. The use of leather boots or over the ankle shoes is mandatory

    4. Properly worn long-sleeved shirt with sleeves rolled down or jacket, long-legged trousers and full-fingered gloves or mittens. Motorcycle-riding jackets and pants constructed of abrasion resistant materials such as leather, Kevlar, and/or Cordura and containing impact-absorbing padding are strongly encouraged.
