  • CVMA will be hosting its 2nd Annual Honoring Veterans Event (Rain or Shine) at the Hollywood Casino garage upper level, if inclement weather we will move to 3rd level.

    *BBQ Buffet from (3-7pm), $2.50 drinks from Cash Bar (12-9pm)

    Biker Games,Raffles, Vendors, Food and Music. All vehicles welcome. Bring Chairs and enjoy the day listening to Music, eating and supporting 2 Outstanding Organizations that Care for our Veterans in need:

    1) Paul’s House -Major Paul Syverson Veterans Sanctuary run by VALOR Clinic Foundation. VALOR Clinic Foundation provides assistance accessing benefits, and shelter to Veterans with limited or no access to care and shelter to Veterans who due to health or means are unable to find or keep shelter of their own and Post Traumatic Stress resources to Veterans through our Veterans Unstoppable program. To improve the lives of our nations Veterans. VALOR was co-founded in 2008 by Veterans Mark Baylis and Tony Cross as an organization for Veterans to help other Veterans to navigate through the process of recovering and rebuilding. VALOR’s long-term vision is to be able to provide health clinics, homeless shelters, transition homes and recovery sanctuaries for Veterans in need. Until the organization gets the support and funding it needs to make these dreams come true, Baylis and his team of commitment volunteers, have been reaching out to Veterans to provide shelter, food, supplies and access to healthcare. In addition, VALOR has spearheaded the creation of a specialized program to address Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) called Veterans Unstoppable. The three-phase program spread over several months is facilitated by Veterans for Veterans to foster healthy life adjustments.

    2) The Robert Matthew Jackson Veterans Center, Inc. (RMJVC, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2010 by Mr. Robert M. Jackson to assist homeless veterans and their families in need of services to develop a resilient, self-sufficient lifestyle essential to succeeding in today’s environment. Since its inception, the RMJVC, Inc. has been faithful to the mission, vision, and guiding principles of founder, Robert M. Jackson. RMJVC, Inc. offers low-income housing alternatives, counseling, case management, education and job readiness training, personal and financial development, veterans’ benefit resource assistance, clothing and food pantry assistance.
