General Guidelines for FOOD for the children:

Nothing with nuts or peanut butter - no Reeses, Snickers, Baby Ruth, etc.

Small packs of goldfish crackers or other small cracker/cereal are good
Small juice boxes, Sugar free gum for ages 5 and up
Pretzels, Animal cookies, Fruit snacks
Easter candy is fine – jelly beans, Peeps, M&Ms, gummy type candy, etc.

Another very nice thing is something for parents. It’s stressful on families to have children in the hospital, especially if their admission was an emergency and they didn’t have time to plan. Having things like water bottles, snack crackers, candy bars, toothbrush and toothpaste, coupon for food delivery, word search books, notepad and pen, small packs of Kleenex, etc., is nice.
