CycleFish Newsletter - April 2010

  • I know I'm late getting the April newsletter out, but it's April which means we have been busier than ever with the site, and of course trying to get in a little riding ourselves.  Once again we had a record month last month with the most users ever logging in, and the most new signups for a one month period.  Heck, we may be on to something here!  I hope everyone is welcoming our new members and making them feel right at home.  Ok, we have lots of great stuff to tell you about this month, so let's get to it.

First of all let's Congratulate our three April Bike of the Month Winners.  For the Stock Class: picu1up2 and his 2004 Harley Road King Classic; for the Chopper/Custom Class: alrossi1011 and his 2008 HD Fat Boy Lo Custom; and for the Vintage Class: Loner and his 1946 - 1961 FL.

    What's New at CycleFish

This month we added the Garage feature to CycleFish.  Your personal CycleFish Garage has two separate and distinct features.  First, when you add bikes into your Garage, they get a profile of their own allowing you to share information and pictures for everyone to see.  Second, you get the CycleFish ServiceTracker feature for each bike in your Garage.  The ServiceTracker allows you to record the vital information for all the service and maintenance you perform on your bike.  You can retrieve a complete list of your maintenance records and a summary, anywhere you can access the internet.  This is the most convenient and safe way to keep track of all your service records.  To learn more, view the CycleFish Garage Demo.  And to see the Garages of those users already using the feature, Click Here.

The Garage is an add-on feature and is included with the Enhanced CycleFish Profile, or you can add just the Garage for only $15 for a lifetime subscription.  It is a great deal and would really help support the site!

We have added new advertising options for business and events.  For those who have a motorcycle business, or event, and want to get some additional promotion, Click Here for more details.

    CycleFish Meet & Greets

I am probably more excited about the CycleFish Meet & Greets we have coming up, than anything else on the site.  As you know my primary goal has always been for people to come together, have fun, and make great friends, and it is happening in a big way.

West Coast Meet & Greet at the Redwood Run - The CycleFish party in Redwood is always a good one, but this year will top all.  At last count we have 35 people attending and 8 maybe attending.  I am sure we will see that number continue to climb.

Central US Meet & Greet in Bowling Green KY - This CycleFish only party is being generously coordinated by stephaniebritt, with lots of help from other members.

Sturgis CycleFish Meet & Greet at The Buffalo Chip - Our premier and hopefully biggest Meet & Greet.  We have just received confirmation from the Buffalo Chip that they will be providing us with a private area for the event, a live band, give-a-ways, and a tended bar.  In addition we (Laura & Lucky) will be arriving early to setup up camp and are hoping to have many of our CycleFish members camping in the area with us.

Keep up to date on what is happening with these events on their calendar listings by clicking the event name.  You can also keep up on new Meet & Greets as they pop up, or help start one in your area by going to the CycleFish Meet & Greet forum.

    Preferred CycleFish Businesses...

Please remember these businesses that support our site.  Please take the time to visit their profiles, and their businesses to show you appreciation for their support.

As always, we want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the CycleFish community. Remember, this is your website, not ours (we just maintain it for you). Those who are active in the CycleFish community, sharing photos, adding content, and making friends, have already realized the benefits of being a part of a community sharing the same interest...motorcycles and riding. So if you haven't stopped by in a while, you need to check back in and see what's been going on.  And don't forget to tell everyone you know about CycleFish, so that our community can continue to grow.

    Regards,

    Lucky & Laura

  • Dakotadan Man I do like this site! Having the support of the road riders is very important to our sport of motorcycles. This is why everyone of my events will be having awards for biggest club or group and farthest ride. We are also having the Coors Light...  more
