CycleFish Newsletter - March 2010

  • Daytona Bike Week has come and gone, so that means we have officially kicked off the 2010 Rally Season.  As you probably know Laura (HDBeech) is in charge of the Event Calendar and working hard to make sure we include as many of the 2010 rides, rallies, and runs as we can.  But we could also use your help.  If you know of a local event, please let the organizers know about CycleFish and encourage them to add their event to our calendar.  Or just drop HDBeech a message with what you know about the event, and she will get the info and add it to the calendar.

March Bike of the Month Winners

As most of you know we split the Bike of the Month for March into two categories (more on BotM categories below).  So this month we have two winners to congratulate...

March Stock Bike of the Month Winner: IndianDave

March Custom Bike of the Month Winner: BullMoose

For next month we will have even more categories.  This is going to make the competition better by giving more users a chance to win, plus it will make it a lot easier to review the bikes and vote.  The categories for Bike of the Month beginning in April are...

    • Stock - Factory production bike including those with custom paint and bolt on accessories. We may break this down to American, Metric, and Sport, depending on the number of entries.
    • Factory Customs & Choppers - any factory build custom motorcycle (OCC, Big Dog, Iron Horse, etc ) produced and sold for profit!
    • Custom Build - Any custom built bike, or factory bike with mods to the frame, metal, or basic structure (primarily owner built or customized).
    • Vintage - Any Bike originally manufactured before 1985 (custom or stock)

    Businesses on CycleFish

As you have probably noticed, we are working on new ways to promote those businesses who support CycleFish via upgraded Business Profiles and Paid Advertisements.  We have added a CycleFish Featured Business listing to the top of our Business Locator Page. These are the businesses that are supporting our community, so be sure to check out their products and services first when you are looking - or if nothing else, drop by their profile and thank them for their support!  We are also now selling business ads that will appear in the right column of all pages, and event ads that will appear on the Event Calendar pages.  Again, please be sure to visit these advertisers if you are in the market for their products or services, or just check out their sites to see what they offer.

If you know of a motorcycle related business or event that would benefit from advertising on CycleFish, please let them know about us.

    Where to Find Us

We are going to try to make it to a number of rallies and events this year, and where the event permits, have a CycleFish Meet & Greet party at the event.  Here is what we have on our calendar so far...

Redwood Run (Big CF Party!), Central US Meet & Greet, Sturgis (Buffalo Chip Party), and more to be announced.

As always, we want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of the CycleFish community. Remember, this is your website, not ours (we just maintain it for you). Those who are active in the CycleFish community, sharing photos, adding content, and making friends, have already realized the benefits of being a part of a community sharing the same interest...motorcycles and riding. So if you haven't stopped by in a while, you need to check back in and see what's been going on.  And don't forget to tell everyone you know about CycleFish, so that our community can continue to grow.

    Regards,

    Lucky & Laura (HDBeech)
