2009 was absolutely the best year we could have hoped for here at CycleFish. After years of thinking about it, and another year of development, we finally converted the CycleFish website into a social network. I want to especially thank those of you who signed up in the very beginning, when there was only a handful of users and very limited activity. You guys were the foundation for what we have grown to in only 8 short months...a community with almost 5,000 users, lots of activity, and most important - lots of friends. CycleFish today doing exactly what is was supposed to do...bringing riders of all types together to meet, have fun, and share information. But we are nowhere near done making this the best biker website on the internet...look for a lot more new features coming to the site this year.
What's New On CycleFish
We have added a new Classifieds Ad section to CycleFish. Everyone (even those who are not CycleFish members) can browse through our Classified Ads. All CycleFish personal have the ability to post classified ads to list any motorcycle related items you have for sale. There is even a Wanted to Buy category for those of you looking for specific items, and a help wanted section. CycleFish Business members will need to upgrade their accounts to a paid subscription to be able to post classified ads.
Speaking of Business Members... we have had a lot of requests from our users (even an ongoing forum topic) for us to identify the businesses on CycleFish who have upgraded their accounts, and are paying to support the CycleFish website so that it can remain free to all riders. Well we heard you. You will now notice in the Business Listings there the businesses that have upgraded their accounts are highlighted and have small icons under their names identifying they are a Preferred CycleFish Business, and any additional CycleFish services they offer...such as a Storefront.
We ask that you take a minute to thank these businesses for helping to support our community. We also ask that you please take notice of the other paying advertisers on the site (the ones with banners on the side of the pages), and support those businesses also by visiting their sites.
We have redesigned the main menu to hopefully help you find everything on the site a little easier. The primary sections are always available on the main menu, while additional sections of the site can be found by clicking the "More..." menu selection.
And we have added a new CycleFish logoed Collapsible Cooler to our CycleFish store. This is great cooler because you can fold it up, carry on the bike, and fill up when you get to your destination. (Holds 32 cans plus ice!)
