  • This is the inaugural ride for Neal Thomas Jr. He was a past Post Commander at American Legion Post 209 from 1984-1986, past Department Commander of Colorado and a Past National Executive Committeman. He is also instrumental on getting the American Legion Riders group up and running in Colorado. Riders will meet at the Safeway at 6520 S Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 with Kick Stands Up at 9 am. We will ride to Bishop's Castle. After the ride, the riders will proceed to the American Legion Post where they will be doing a Post renaming ceremony in his honor. Ceremony begins at 5 pm, followed by a Chicken Fried Steak dinner. Cost for dinner will be $10.50. Cost of the ride is $20 and all the proceeds go to the Veteran's Assistance Fund that he happened to create, to help support local veterans that are in need in the local community.
