  • The 2016 Mid-America Military Salute will take place on Saturday September 10th at the Adams County Fairgrounds near Mendon, IL. This event is held to "Honor Our Military, Our Veterans & Their Families". This event is Free !!!! No cost for parking, admission or any of the kids area, music or displays. Home based vendors, food & drink vendors will have things for sale.

The day is filled with music on 3 stages (9 Bands), a huge kids area with train rides, a 6 hours of kids entertainment on stage, bouncehouses, Free facepainting and more. We also have home based vendors, food, beer and soda vendors, a Car & Bike show, Military Displays & vehicals, fireworks show and much more.

In 2015 we had over 6,000 people attend our event with up and coming Country Star Mo Pitney headlining our event. This year we look to have and even bigger crowd.

In 2016 we will have the American Hitmen playing our main stage. From the battlefields in Iraq to the legendary stage of Radio City Music Hall, the American Hitmen have done it all! Brothers and Marine Corps Combat Veterans, Tim and Dan Cord, founded the band with fellow Marines and musicians in 2005. After serving 4 honorable years and 2 combat tours in Iraq, they decided to leave the Marine Corps to pursue a career in music in 2007. The brothers left the over-saturated Southern California music scene and moved to Utah, where they fell into true harmony with the addition of drummer, Phil Snyder, and bassist, Dave Briggs.

In late 2009, the band was invited to be the first American rock band in 36 years to perform in Vietnam. At the Ho Chi Minh City Hard Rock Café, the American Hitmen made brought a new and unfamiliar sound to the Vietnamese people, performing Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” with none other than Run DMC in front of a sold-out crowd on the night of the Hard Rock grand opening.

In 2013, the band auditioned for and made it through 3 elimination rounds on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent, finishing out their run with a pitch perfect live and televised performance at Radio City Music Hall.

"America’s most patriotic rock band", Madison Rising will be headlining our 2016 event. Madison Rising has worked tirelessly to create an entirely new genre of music – patriotic rock. Combining a brilliant classic rock sound with inspirational tributes to our men and women in uniform, it is clear that this band is on a mission to not only make great music, but to also send a message that American culture is alive and well.

Their new album - American Hero - is respectfully dedicated to the men and women of our armed forces, along with the police, firefighters and other first responders whose sacrifice and selfless dedication to the service of this country, at home and abroad, help this great nation to remain the land of the free and the home of the brave. Madison Rising promotes the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility.
