  • The 2nd Annual Ride-On 4 Carrie Charity Poker Run will take place Saturday, May 30th. Last year’s debut event was a great success, and with your support this year will be even greater! The day’s events this year include the poker run, shirt and merchandise sales, raffle and live auction, all followed by live music, for an especially fantastic cause in memory of an especially fantastic woman.

The RO4C was started in 2014 as a benefit in honor of Carrie Britton Stenson-Hansen, who lost her courageous battle with ovarian cancer in February of 2013. She was diagnosed in January of 2012 and battled it fiercely for nearly 14 months, never losing her bright spirit and strength along her journey. Carrie’s husband, Troy, created this event to celebrate all that they treasured together: family, friends, helping others, and of course, riding motorcycles.

All proceeds from this event are donated to and combined with the "Chad Smith" Ride for Life. The CSRFL is in it's 8th year of making a difference in individuals lives. Each year, the CSRFL adopts a person who is in the midst of their own cancer battle and steps in to help they and their families.

Last year’s proceeds went to Scott Klinkhammer and his family of St. Michael, MN. Scott is a wonderful husband and father of 4 small children. In 2011, Scott was diagnosed with colon cancer and in December of 2012 the cancer metastasized to his lungs. Scott has undergone multiple treatments of chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries which put a huge stress on this family's finances. With the help of donors like you and your generosity, we were able to proudly present a check for $11,500 to Scott and his family. Combined with the CSRFL donation of over $31,700 ~ These events raised over $43,200 last year.

This year, the 8th Annual CSRFL and the 2nd Annual RO4C is for David Becker. David is a wonderful husband, father of 6 children and grandfather to 5+ grandchildren. David was born and raised in the Albertville area. Near the end of 2014, David was diagnosed with Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. He has to undergo many very expensive treatments that are not covered under his insurance. For David to continue these costly treatments, the family needs our help. Please come out and support this wonderful family in their time of need!

We can’t wait to lift them up with our combined support and generosity. We ask you to help us in this cause by donating items for our live auction and raffle. Some items donated last year included a guitar autographed by Jon Bon Jovi, an autographed guitar case from Skid Row, collectibles, concert and sports tickets, artwork, gift cards, gift baskets and so much more. We are also in need of cash donations, which will go towards the cash raffle prize.

Please contact Dan Weck to coordinate your donation at 612-867-4011, or danjweck@gmail.com. We invite you to visit our Facebook event page - 2nd Annual Ride-On 4 Carrie Charity Poker Run – for more details. And of course, we’d love for you to join us on May 30th to make the RO4C a great time and a wonderful success!

    We wholeheartedly appreciate your support!

All proceeds from the RO4C are donated to the Chad Smith Ride For Life, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax-deductible. Tax number and deduction information are available upon request.
