WOW, what a year 2010 was, Started the year off meeting the band MOUNTAIN. Deener trading in her Low Rider for a Road King in late January, and then the planning began. Deener got her first tattoo and I added a few more including the CF logo. Our first little road trip of the year was Memorial Day weekend to Boise, 500 miles. Rain, rain and more rain on the way there. We ended up stopping for the night at the Wild Horse Casino just outside of Pendleton OR. Great place to stay, and they didn’t mind the water puddles we left in the lobby ! Getting into Idaho, the rain stopped and weather was great, and we had a great visit with family. We decided to one-day it home and boy, let me tell you, by the time we got to Chinook pass, the sun was setting and it was a bit tricky, heavy fog mixed rain and snow with about 30 feet visibility. We felt like we were at the top of the world, complete dark and silence, kind of eerie. Deener did a great job.... Next trip The Redwood Run............ Put a 6 speed in the Kiss bike…. Deener, myself, Raywood and 1bentbik headed out in the pouring down rain, 250 miles to Lincoln City Or, took us over 8 hours, the rain was unbelievable. We landed at a KOA in Lincoln City. Wouldn’t stay there again for FREE !!! Although she said they get a lot of bikers there, it was obvious that they didn’t. Must be Peddle Biker…. Day 2 - off to Eureka CA, wow 650 miles and we finally hit dry pavement. We would highly recommend the KOA in Eureka CA great customer service, and we had a great deluxe cabin, shower, bathroom, T.V. gas fireplace, fridge, microwave and yes even a coffee maker. 5 am and off to the rally with only 70 miles to go. 50º but dry, Lucky got in early and had our spot saved for all the CF gang. What a BLAST! Highs in the 90's. Great people and so much fun. We had the pleasure of meeting lots of CF members, and we hooked up with others members that are becoming life long friends. Met the KISS tribute band PRISS that was playing there and took there picture on my bike. When the weekend wound down, and it was time to leave, Raywood’s Bigdog decided it didn’t want to turn over. Captain America stayed behind to help him out, luckily it was only a loose wire and they were on the road. We didn’t hit any rain on the way home, that was nice for a change! Raywood’s Bigdog broke down in Redding CA on the side of the freeway. It was not a good feeling when we looked in the mirror, and no Raywood! Did a U-eeeee, found him on the side of the road on his cell. He ended up renting a Uhaul and got the Bigdog in the back and Ray had an EZ ride home. We had great weather on the way home, and we all made it home safely. We had a few 300 to 400 mile day trips, over the Cascade Mountains, over to the WA coast. For my birthday weekend in June, 15 couples took off for the weekend and we rented and entire motel in Randle WA, Wow, did we have fun…The girls left on the Friday, and we met there the next night. Next up, Run 21 in Birkenfeld Oregon. An easy 130 mile ride and we were there, seemed strange not to be riding all day ! This run is off the hook, its like a mini-RWR. We only stayed over night because good friends of ours were getting married (biker style) and we couldn’t miss that! Next up, STURGIS…. This trip we were very excited for. 17 days and over 4000 miles. We headed out and had an easy ride to Post falls ID. First stop after that was Testy Fest. WILD to say the least. The second night Raywood and Capt’n America rolled into camp. Had a great night with the Big Dogs. Next morning, we were off to the KOA in Hardin MT. We had been lucky on the first few days with weather, this day…….well we hit an incredible storm. As soon as we got the kickstands down at the KOA in Hardin, let the storm begin ! Thunder, lightning, rain, and 70mph wind gusts. The next morning was calm with a beautiful sunrise. We were off to the Buffalo Chip. Hwy 212, very nice 2 laner and tons of Antelope. I started to have some clutch problems, nothing major…just a few adjustments here and there. We arrive at the Chip for 8 days of dusty fun! We rolled into to the CF camp where we were greeted by Lucky, HDB, Debrajo, Harleyman, and others (the crazy Aussies) After we got camp settled, we decided to head to the Full Throttle to have a few adult beverages for Lucky’s Birthday… We met lots of very cool people from CF. Every day was fast and furious, we had a great time ! We rode to Deadwood, Wall Drug, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Hewlett WY, Sundance. One day a bunch of us CF’ers took the scenic tractor ride around the Chip TWICE….that was entertaining ;-) We met Charlie Bechtel who played at the JLH-OILS sponsored CF Meet and Greet. We met Rupert from Survivor, The Scorpions, and Yes BOOF and Marnie (the crazy Aussies) That’s a whole other blog in itself…. Was still having some clutch issues. Thanks to Harleyman, he was able to keep me on the road. After the week of good times had ended, we all sadly said goodbye and off we rolled. Deener and I headed up to Red Lodge MT. Awesome ride we had ahead of us. The next morning we headed out on the BEARTOOTH Hwy. Beautiful… Highest riding elevation was 10,947 feet above sea level. We got lucky, the day before there was snow on the road. We did hit some 40º temps with broken clouds and blue skies, would do it again in a heartbeat, gorgeous scenery! We rolled into Cooke City for lunch and then later in the afternoon, into Yellowstone to our cabin at Lake Lodge. The buffalo were incredible. Up in the morning bright and early, we were off through the rest of Yellowstone. Down to the Tetons and to the KOA in Jackson Hole WY. More Clutch and tranny issues. We were stuck there for a few extra hours before we were able to get on the road and headed over Teton pass. Very nice ride. Spent the night in Ontario OR. Nice ride threw Hells Canyon, Baker City, over MT Rainier and then finally home. Wow, So much more to tell about that trip, would be like writing a book…….In Sept Deener’s Grandpa in California passed away. The weather was great in Cali, so we decided to take the bikes down for the funeral. We one dayed it, 835 miles to San Lorenzo CA. Hooked up with Debrojo and Harleyman for dinner one evening. One dayed it back 839 miles. That was the trip that started “The Adventures of Joey”. Went to the Slash concert and that was when Joey got his first ink! We did a Breast cancer walk and Deener and I were asked to lead to walkers on our bikes. The Ashley House Ride, Pouring rain, but that was worth it. The donations and presents were for terminally ill children. Guess that is about it. Just some of the highlights of 2010 for Deener and I. I want to thank EVERYONE I had the pleasure of meeting. We are looking forward to 2011 in so many ways, Meeting up with our CF family is on the top of the list.

A weekend road trip to Testy Festy turned in to a week on the road... Deener (aka Road Warrior Princess) and I were planning on going to Testy and meeting up with Raywood on Thursday afternoon.... Well Tuesday I just couldn't take it anymore. Called Deener and told her I was on my way home to start the road trip early. Deener left work early and we hit the road around 3pm. Hit a nasty thunder storm over the pass.... Got into Post Falls Idaho around 8 pm... Hit the road Wednesday am and headed to Glacier... Beautiful ride up and around Flathead lake. Stopped in Kalispel and had lunch with my relatives and then off to Glacier...Rode, The Road To The Sun. In the west side. Up and over and around the eastside The sites were beautiful. Saw a few goats and a couple deer, One a little closer then I wanted. The Thunder headers must have let him know to get the %#$* outta my way...... Thursday day morning we decided to ride the Eastside of Flathead lake.... Great ride...... We met Raywood at the interchange of I 93 and I 90. Hit the liquor store and off to Testy... We rolled in around 8 pm got our camp set up and ready to party...... I was a little disappointed in Testy... The little store had no ice, and very little supplies. Not going to rain on our parade. Met some nice people around are camp and they hooked us up with ice... Yip getting our drink on now. There were a few vendors, biker apparel and food...Live bands played out back. Thursday night the bar was packed. Up Friday morning and off to Missoula. Raywood used to be a Navy recruiter there. Raywood took us to the local greasy spoon and the food was fantastic.... Off to the store for some ice and what not. Back to Testy around noon and NOTHING going on...One naked guy(fanny pak man) was walking around taking some video.. It started to pick up around 4pm.... Met up with a friend that I hadn't seen in 20 years. What a blast. About 5 pm I wasn't impressed with the 4-5 bus loads of collage kids that came in from Missoula. A little bit different atmosphere then I expected.... We party and listen to the band, ate some Bull Testicles. Pretty good... Had a little altercation with a couple of the security boys(collage kids) appearntly I was NOT allowed to have a RED cup in the venue area... We walked back into the shadows and Deener went into the bar to get some ice water(it came in the correct color cup) The owner was working the bar and really wasn't happy with Deener asking for ice water... We go our clear cups and back to drinking... Lots of young kids there. So we called it and early even around 1130-12... Got up Saturday morning and Raywood was still trying very hard to talk us into going to Sturgis with him.... Well didn't have enough time So we decided to head down to West Yellowstone. Took I 90 down to the Cardwell exit, What a rockin road... Twisty, curvy, right beside the river... Got into the KOA and had camp setup by 8 pm. Deener and I had Buffalo steak for dinner. It was very good. We took the entire day to ride in Yellowstone. Very nice. That place is so fun... got caught in a Thunder, lighting storm. We got soaked. Not have planed to go to Yellowstone and planning for temps between 60-90 we had our lite sleeping bags (fleece) not really that warn when it got down to 40 in the early morning. So being soaked we decided we needed to upgrade to a cabin At the KOA. The only one they had let not only had heat but also toilet, shower, 2 burner stove, ect, We lived large for the night. Good night sleep, Hot shower in the morning and Deener say's "hey w can ride straight threw to home today, Can't we" I said "sure you up for a 748 mile day". So we hit the road, Taking it easy in the morning with all the wildlife in the area...the scenery was off the hook. Sunrise coming up and clear blue skies. Stop at Belgrade to get breakfast and were on I 90 west. Following Deener and the Speedo reads 95 mph WTF......... We stop later for fuel and I asked her "what up with the speed" She says "I'm only going 10 over" I laughed and say" Ya 10 over 10 over" So we got back on the road and making good time... Around 1 pm mountain time Deener takes an exit and no services. Her bike isn't running well, Lost the Speedo and it's popping. So we take off up to a rest stop. We are 40 west of Missoula was her bike quits... Anyways, No pay phone, Very little cell service, Had a lot of people stop and ask if they could help. Called HOG. Took 2 hours to complete the call and give them all the info. Lots of dropped calls. Montana Harley is off the hook..... Can't say enough good about these guys. They rolled the bike in straight off truck and got right on it. 40 minutes later and a new battery we were on the road. Six hour delay, Not going to make it home today... Stopped at the $50,000 bar. Had a nice dinner and rolled into Post Falls ID for the night. Woke up for an easy 5 hour ride into Buckley Wa. Warm weather and blue skies. We took a little detour and went into Yakima and picked up some fresh fruit and rode over Mt. Rainier home. 2369 miles. Not to bad for what started out as a little less the a 1000 mile 4 day weekend. As far as Testy.... Myself and Deener will more then likely wave as we roll on by. Don't forget to checkout our Testicle Festival Pictures

Had a BLAST at Run 21...... Deener and I met Raywood and Knotso(from Big Dog site) Friday morning and rolled out at 7am. Weather was a little drizzly on the way down. Stopped at Castle rock for breakfast. I think it was 49er's, WOW there Country fried chicken is huge and all the food was very tasty. Just before the 202 exit. Denise (DEENER) had a traffic cone jump out in front of her. She handled it like a pro. Up the road we pulled over so she could walk it off. Luckily it hit her hiway peg before her. The view going over the bridge is great. The twisty road up to Birkenfeld, Or and to the Rally was a very nice ride, Trees and hills. Go to the gate and, yip opened early. Road right in got our wristbands and found a nice place to pitch our tents. Porta potties about 30 yards and the venders were another 30 yards beyond that.
Good Weather, Good food, And Great company….. Raywood and Knotso are a blast and great people. Lots of beautiful people ;-) to look at. Biker games were good. Lots of particapants..... Burn out contest was something to see. Lots and lots of smoke..... Foghat was off the hook. played just as the did 30 years ago.... Can't wait to go next year.... this will be an annual event for Deener and myself.
