I was thinking about raking the front end on my 2005 H-D FatBoy.  I found this kit on the internet and I was wondering if anyone has any experience installing the bolt on rake kits, verses taking it in and having the frame modified.

Here is the one rake kit I found, I am sure there are many more available...

Thanks in advance for any and all input.

Great kit, I purchased one of these for my 05' Honda Shadow (though it took my more like 12-18 hrs) looks good and runs just fine at top speeds..... little pricey for H-D's but 1695 isnt cheap either I guess.

That does seem a little expensive. I would check with a local custom shop and see how much they would charge to cut and weld the rake in.

    Just a suggestion.

The better kits, like the one you mentioned, work great. They are designed well so they are both solid and maintain good handling. They should be fairly easy to install.
