Well John, sorry your buy Denny didn't win. He had a great year though and his time will come. I am sure he will have a couple championships before he is done

This is easier to take this time than a few years ago when he plain blew it at Homestead by hitting Biffle's car for no apparent reason.

Is Kurt Busch (2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion) a woman beater?

Is his ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll (the president of the Armed Forces Foundation) a trained assassin?

Will either be there to help sell Ron Pratte's 1950 General Motors Furturliner bus at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale on Saturday? (the proceeds of the sale go to the Armed Forces Foundation)

Like sands through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives.

I never did like Kurt Bush and have always thought he was a total ass. But now I think maybe I may have been a little harsh on him ... he couldn't help being an ass because he is totally nuts!

No never mind, I know lots of people who are nuts that aren't asses, so I am back to thinking he is just a total ass and trying to cover it up by pretending he's crazy :-)

Bristol this weekend. Normally I like the BIG tracks with lots of speed, but this is still one of my favorite races to watch. Good old aggressive driving.

Hopefully these young prima donna drivers can accept that Bristol is made for aggressive racing and won't jump out of the cars ready to fight or blasting other drivers in the media for driving aggressive!

I like the way that kid Gibbs had running in the Xfinity race Friday.
He gave Jr. the "get out of my way bump" and then went on to win. :-)

That was a hell of a finish. When they had just under 2 to go I told my buddies that Denny was going to jump up as soon as someone got there to help push. Everyone said no way he will lose it all if he go out of line, but I knew Denny wouldn't be happy with fourth - he was going to move either up or back but he wasn't going to sit there and follow them across the line. He timed that perfect!!!!

I missed the first 100 laps because there was a freeway closure and it took us a looong time to get to where we were meeting friends to watch the race.

I thought Martin Truex Jr. had it, I put my shaking head down in my hands, then Debbie said no Denny won.
    Oh Boy! :-)

I think Denny was right there with you Rev.  I think he thought Truex won until it came over the radio.

I am not sure what Kenseth was thinking.  He made two mistakes that possibly cost him the race... first he got to far away from Truex and lost the push, second he went up to block Denny which really caused him to lose speed and Denny took advantage of it with a GREAT move.

Now he has the Daytona 500 box checked, no matter what happens he will be known for that.
I've been into NASCAR for a long time, it has been a long time since someone I rooted for won the Daytona 500, that was David Pearson. :-)

Oh, don't worry Denny will be checking off the NASCAR Points Champion from his list at some point too!

NASCAR Coming to town. They'll be racing here in So Cal this weekend. I don't have tickets but may make my way over to the Speedway to enjoy some tailgating in the morning, then catch it on TV, or maybe get some cheap tickets in the parking lot.

So what do you think about Gordon driving #88 the next couple of races.  Personally I think Bowman did pretty darn good and he should be the one driving until Jr. gets better.
