Any suggestions for saddlebags?

Topics: 2   Posts: 507
Ok folks, I've been throwin around the idea of saddlebags for my bike, but cant seem to come accross anything that suits me and my bike yet.
Pehaps some of you might be able to hepl or gimme some good ideas.
I have a 2003 Harley-Davidson superglide (FXD) that currently has a detachable sissy bar and back rest ( I'd like to keep it that way). I have a medium bag to mount on the sissy bar on the pass seat/ or luggage rack. But if I'm gonna do any long haul riding, I should probobly get some saddlebags. So, hers the knundrum, I'd like to keep the detachable setup. I'd like decent quality bags, but not the hard bags harely has to color match, dont want that expense or permanancy. So, I'm thinking throw overs. Anyone have any ideas on what I could use that wont affect the ruuning of the bike, might be durable, worth the money, good fit, etc...

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Hutch 78

Hey Hutch -
If ya got the backrest, did you look into T-Bags? They're great for overnight trips etc - slip over the backrest and sit on the fender - before that, I had a set of cheapo throw overs I picked up at a rally - they worked out alright but I was a bigger fan of the T-bags - http://www.t-bags.com/
good luck!

Hey hutch ~ check out Boss Bags ~ that's what you see pictured on my Dyna. They're quick connect / detach without any frame behind, so I can take them, my backrest and luggage rack all off in a heartbeat.
They have a video you can watch and see how easy it is.
I've been very pleased with them and they have a wide variety of styles and available accessories.
Have fun!
