I need some two cents

Topics: 4   Posts: 125
I am working on my First bike.  I have a pic of it in my profile and I would like some input on what i should change on it.  Any ideas.  As you can see in my photos I changed the tank back to a gloss black.

Your bike looks good to me as it is. One of the fascinating things about us motorcycle riders and our rides is that we can make it unique. So what ever YOU LIKE is what you should do. You have to ride it and it should be as much a part of you as you can make it. Do not do what others say unless you really like the ideas thay propose. Art is in the eye of the beholder.

I'm just looking for some ideas...Like what would be better the solo seat or a one up seat. I have both but i have heard that the original Harley one up seat can be a little rough on rides.

Hey paduck, my 2 cents, I tend to like gloss over flat and it looks good in the pic, but what matters is what you like. As for the seat, that could be a question of function and style too, how often do you plan on having a passenger? If often , then you might want to go with the two-up and if you dont like the one you have, harley and others make pleanty of aftermarket/custom choices, if your gonna be solo most timesand like the look of the solo seat, go with that and also pleanty of choices in that dept. Another way to get a look at what thing might look like is to use the customizer on Harley's web site, its all hd parts and acc. but might help you get a better Idea of how things might look.

Personally I believe you have to start with a look or theam if you will. Do you want an Old School Look, a retro look, or something nobody has come up with yet, which would be hard. Do you like the black look....then start from there and black out everything. Make your bike an extension of yourself. Hey get back with us and give us an idea of a look or theam.

I like to look at the little detail things, wiring, nuts n bolts, etc.
If you like it, take it one more step to fit your need's, wants.
You got the pic in your head run with it... keep us posted.

I have to say I'm with seakers on the flat black.....I like gloss, and I'm not really into wrapping my exhaust with heat wrap, but hey that's just me. Image if ever bike out there looked the same...boreing! Have to say I'm also a bit like Krum with the details. Hot toppers, color matching zip ties, etc........
I have so many of my freinds tell me the Dragon Bike is you. You will find your look, and everyone will say dude this scoot is you man.

Enjoy building her the way you want to.

I had a sporty back in the day......
If you want to see what you scoot would look with a 12 over springer on it ....well check it out.
It was quite a ride......I could bounce the front wheel off the ground going down the freeway by jacking the throttle.

Pretty sharp of ya Krum to notice no front brake, and the rear was a simple drum brake. Defense driving was the name of the game.
