I looked over the links - didn't see a campground - must be one there though. Looking forward to next summer, hope it works out.

Hey Ole, I'll do some seaarches tomorrow sometimes for campgrounds and see what I can find; I'll let ya know one way or the other.

I said it before, I'll say it again. Have Goggles, will travel! Since I was the only one besides Ray sleeping in a tent at the last one, I think I'll be sleeping indoors at the next one! Arkansas is fine with me... Hey Extreme, can I borrow that "Ceiling Fan" again?

I did a little more homework, here is another good link for Ar

http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/motorcycling/

for accomodations - http://www.arkansas.com/places-to-stay/group-lodging/

with places like Red Bud Valley, Enchanted Forest & Beaver Lake...I guess this area can't be all bad

The 1876 Inn and Restaurant is owned by a biking couple

So what's the consensus? Where are we meeting?  Some place in Arkansas right?  BonBon originally suggested Hot Springs. I don't know "Jack Squat" about Arkansas other than having been to Siloam Springs up in the Northwest corner.  Someone put up a map of Arkansas, give Sky a half a glass of Boone's Farm, 1 Jigger of Knobb Creek, a half a glass of White Russian, shake vigorously and then let her throw a dart at the map.  Least ways we'll have a destination...

As I remember last year as I entered every state I would try to get an official state map. Only two states had maps specific to Motorcyclists. Arkansas and Connecticut.
Good Pick.

For Hot Springs, try this. We stayed here and it was super nice.

just as a side note here - several of us carry, either open or concealed...we need to be aware of the laws for parks as well as states. Last I checked, Arkansas has several laws still on the books that will present a problem in this regard.

Part of the Stupid Laws of the U.S.

Arkansas prohibits carrying a firearm "with a purpose to employ it as a weapon against a person." Tennessee prohibits carrying "with the intent to go armed.

thanks FXR - we'll have to see what transpires. I like to camp - but a motel would work too.

BTW - do we have any alternative locations in mind...maybe that are helmet law free and easier on the conceal carry?

interesting - I found 1 site that says AR. is helmet free, and another that says it's required...
