Nothing fancy. Just some "southern engineering" . Made out of junk I had laying around the garage. Basically just a u-bolt with an extra plate using a 4 inch 1/4-20 bolt to secure the camera. Required a small amount of cutting and drilling. The plate you see dangling fits up to the bottom of the camera and is snugly secured with a nut. It wont win any shows but its good enough for what I intend to do. Oh the camera...its a Kodak (unsure of the model #) but its an inexpensive one....one of the small ones that fits in your pocket. About a $150 camera if memory serves. Put camera mounts on both bikes this weekend for under 5 bucks. ![]() |

I have a "bendy" tri-pod that grabs onto just about anything and stays there. I wrap it around the handlebars of the bike, the rearview mirror in the car, fenceposts, gaurd rails, tree limbs--just about anything! Got it at Target for $20. The legs have rubber finned sections that help it 'grab'. ______________________ Claudia & Clay IacovettoGet a grip on reality--AND CHOKE IT TO DEATH!!! |

I like it. Noticed its on the inside of the windshield...have you had any problems with glare when the sun is in the right position??? ______________________

Very cool. I noticed even going through the bumpy parking lot there was not much vibration. Does your camera have one of those stabilizer features? |

Thanks, fellas. No the camera used does not have the "motion correction" feature. This would be a very good application for that feature I would think. Sun glare: jury is still out. I suspect it may be an issue although I've not yet experienced it. Most of my testing has been "mostly cloudy" conditions. EDIT: I stand corrected. Dumb-ass me. I was just reviewing the specs on the Kodak camera I used in the vids above. Indeed it does have "image stablization" in video mode BUT not in HD (720p) mode which is what those videos were taken in. I'm going to try the 640x480 HQ mode next and see what happens. BTW, the Camera is a Kodak M1033 FYI. Yippee I've got something new to test .....and another excuse to ride !! Thanx, jb |
