- FLAG for the BIKE (Bikers' Topics - Biker Chat)

I have tryed a few for the back of the bike that are made to be placed in your window of a car.. ..they work for a short time.....is there a FLAG mount or a set up that any of you know of so I can have my USA FLAG on the back of the bike ... got a US VET sticker and NAVY DAD sticker on the lower parts of the wiindshield..... have checked several sites on line.. all i can find is hand held .. [ won't work at road speeds ] and the car monts that I end up doin with tie wraps

All depends on how much money you want to spend. I made my flag mount for flying a 3X5 US flag when I run Patriot Guard Missions. Mounted a house style flag mount (Walmart - about 10.00) to a piece of chrome diamond plate. Made simple bracket with wing nuts to mount to my luggage rack. Piece of 3/4" conduit (painted black) with two stainless steel eye bolts. Have ridden at speeds up to 75 MPH with no problems. Be sure to get a sewn flag rather than a screen printed one. They hold up much better at highway speeds.

If you want something that looks nice Kuryakyn makes several. Have one on the back of the Vision on the trunk rack. Works great and no issues at 105. Just go to their site and type in flag in the search box.

Thank you .. all for your imput... alot of the flag mounts are set up for round sissy bar .. did a little digging in the site you folks spoke of .. and found what i needed to fit the vulcan .. thank again..

Just make sure you buy a quality flag. Marine grade flags are sturdier. I used to have replace my Dad's flag every spring.

Dude. i got a Dont Tread On Me flag that i secured to the arm/brace of my sissy bar by wrapping two metal screw rolls onto the cheap ass flag stick. I dont know how to really describe these 'things' but they're like a lil roll of metal strip with a screw on one end that as you tighten the scrrew the metal strip tightens smaller and tighter. Does anyone know what im talkin about. works fine. Its cheap and i hope you fuigure what the hell im talkin about..

Dude. i got a Dont Tread On Me flag that i secured to the arm/brace of my sissy bar by wrapping two metal screw rolls onto the cheap ass flag stick. I dont know how to really describe these 'things' but they're like a lil roll of metal strip with a screw on one end that as you tighten the scrrew the metal strip tightens smaller and tighter. Does anyone know what im talkin about. works fine. Its cheap and i hope you fuigure what the hell im talkin about..

all set now singSing ty.... while I ran into walmart over the weekend ..someone didn't like the US FLAG I had on the bike... when i got out of the store .. only have was there the flag mount that i had on the 66 caprice i had place on in the bike was snapped in half.... was there when i went in the store... I so wish I had see the SOB that did it...it would have been a party at wallyworld

I'm afraid I'd go "Jerry Springer" on somebody if I caught 'em pulling that crap on MY bike or MY flag !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
