SPRING CLEANNING

Topics: 11   Posts: 3721
First bike cleanning was done under a tree on the ground.   I then moved to a cement slab still on the ground.  Found an old milk crate and was able to lift up on it and ballance.  I now have a lift jack that will lift 1200 lbs and elevate to 21 inches off the floor.  with a scooter seat roll around and clean, inspect and service top to bottom.  It is a center lift so both tires hang free.  I deserve my toys and enjoy them all.  How do you service and prep for the busy season.......

.Inspect often ride safe...

Funny you should post this right now. Just takin' a coffee break from doing the same thing!!! Oil change, rear drive fluid change, wash & wax. I have a center lift stand also and sure makes the job a lot easier !!!!

There are some good tips here on giving the bike a Basic Inspection.  There are really basic, but it's the basics we normally overlook.

I clean it every Sun morning, checking out everything.....every day when i unlock the bike I run my hand over the tyres....anything that should not be there will cut my hand or snag a glove. better that than a blow out on the road from an overlooked screw or nail

Change oil, check the tires. Usually a new battery. (113"s are hell on batteries). Spiff it up and hit the starter.
