Saw this bike at my grandson's Jiu Jitsu class the other day. Belongs to his instructor and I know its a BMW but know very little about these "Ninja" style bikes. I do like BMW's for some reason; they have always caught my eye.

Hey, I'ma Harley guy; I say ninja cause that's what that style bike has always been referred to in my circle, what do I know. I never thought about why they are called that but maybe cause they are fast, quick, sleek, lean, and can kick ass on the street; who really knows. But for sure no disrespect intended if any was taken as I was just tossing it out there as to what style of bike it was

Cool, I kept wondering what I thought it reminded me of. Now that you say that; it does remind me of  Yamihaw 360 enduro I had years ago

I certainly hope I do not offend anyone here but...
My age must be showing 'cuz I don't feel anything looking at the beemer or any sport bike for that matter. I surely respect all you sport bike riders and their ability to perform but they are not for me. Another way of putting it is say I was at a car show, and side by side were a stock '57 chevy rag top and a super tricked honda accord. I probably wouldn't even see the honda.

Just one old biker's opinion.

This is BMW's Duel Sport, Super Motard Bike. I have riden 2 of these, one of which I road from Phoenix, Arizona to Denver. It is an Incredible ride and exceptional responsive. However, the seat height is very high and only has a slight adjustment for rebound, A rider under 5'11" will feel that the bike needs dropped down at least 2". Great Bike but very costly.

First...No offense taken...just a bit of a different perspective here. Hey, I'm 56 with two hip replacements; If you told me to ride on this BMW or you were gonna shoot me, you might as well pull the trigger cause I couldn't. The seat height and seat angle on that thing would have me screaming like a little baby. My Harley allows for me the low seating postion I need and its a Harley. I do however see bikes non-harley on occasion that catch my eye and this BMW and  BMW models along with some Triumph's too. I'm with ya; I'd ride around in a 57 chevy rag top too before sitting in a Honda accord but myself, I appreciate there are other bikes out there beautifully engineered and desgined that deserves credit where credit is due in the eye of the beholder. Truth be known, there's some Harley folks out there wouldn't be caught dead on a sportster, dyna, or fxr; yet they are Harleys . So, I'll ride my fxr proudly as it fits me and continue to appreciate and admire; as different as they may be, the beauty of others as they pass me by...
