I just read this on CNN. Its on the triple murder that occured just outside of Chicago. This came out of the comments section.

" The headline reads "Triple Murder in DARIEN, IL" What's really shocking is that they might actually pass a law, based on the 2nd amendment, that lets people carry concealed handguns, as long as they have training. So, if this guy had training, and was stopped by the cops prior to his murder spree, he would have been allowed a pass. "

WTH?? How can this poster even relate the two when it comes to the shooter?? All the ban did was allow this man to break into this home with no second thought and shoot at will. If the law abiding home owner had been ALLOWED TO DEFEND HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY it could have had a totally different outcome

Or the true outcome of gun control.

I firmly believe in the 2nd amendment. I believe everyone has that right unless they have done something to prove they dont. But even more I believe we have a DUTY to protect our families to the best of our abilities. This poor father didnt even have the choice to have a firearm in his home if he so desired. His GOVERNMENT knew what was best for him.

I dont think leaving his house along with his wife and son all in body bags was best.

Unfortunately this has been the case in far to many incidents. I spent more than 20 years as a Fugitive recovery Agent and Bodyguard and have myself been shot twice and stabbed 3 times. In neither case was the perpatrator licensed to carry and were both prior felons, yet they were able to purchase firearms at will illegally but law abiding citizens in many areas of this country are now unable to get legal licensing or purchase firearms for self protection. Our counrty wants to introduce even more legislation prohibiting firearms that would make those of us that do carry legally the criminal. Go figure?

Face it people, the police aren't there to protect you! They are there to investigate an "incident", try to figure out what happened and direct traffic for the Coroner's wagon. I've called 911 one time, after 25 minutes I called them back, told them I was "Armed" and would shoot the individual if he entered my house. It was exactly 6 minutes later that the State Trooper called me on his Cell Phone and asked me to please come outside to speak with him! Obviously an armed citizen defending themselves has a higher priority than breaking into someones home!

The 2nd Amendment is the Original Homeland Security - and the Castle Doctrine needs to be in full effect throughout the entire country (IMHO it needs to be essentially the same as Florida has in place).

Recently, Virginia set up a bogus "special committee" to vote on the castle doctrine, thereby avoiding a full vote in the house & senate (where they knew it would get passed). It of course was voted down for the time being, though their process is being challenged.

They want people to run out of their house and avoid the intruder and call 911 to be put on hold for 10 min.

Bottom line is the bad guys know the rules and laws as well as anyone else; the difference is they choose to ignore them. They will prey on the defenseless and the weak, and if the law abiding citizen is left unprotected because of these insane laws and rules then the bad guys win.

How many of the countries judges and prosecuting attorneys are packing I wonder?

Here is my thought...anyone that breaks into my home is an unlawful intruder and as such, I CONSIDER A DIRECT THREAT to my family and my safety. I will respond to that threat with whatever force I have at my disposal at that time and if it happens to be one of my handguns or my shotguns, I will seek to neutralize the threat as expeditiously as possible.

Hate to disagree with ya bulldog, but they dont ignore the law in cases like this, they use it to their advantage.

Gun control isn't about guns, it's about control! Remember that next election! Bless the police for doing a job that 99.9% of the general public wouldn't do but BikerSarge1 is right when he said "Face it people, the police aren't there to protect you! They are there to investigate an "incident" (after the fact) and try to figure out what happened..."

The state of the law and its citizens and how the law applies to them, is definitely beyond whacked. To add to...they just found a 14 yr old girl dead, on her way to the bus stop, hit and run, her mother found her while taking the younger brother to school, how very tragic. Anyways, after 3 days, a girl from the same school came foward and said that she saw the girl get ran over, by the schoolbus she was on...what the hell has happened, that this girl would not have said something when the bus ran the other girl over, and why wait so long. I just dont understand what is going on in peoples heads now a days...I think the world is crazy.

The Supreme Court of the United States is Getting ready to hand down a ruleing that in all probability will be in favor of the NRA.

I believ that the law you are talking about is not for concealed carry, but un concealed and exposed with a training program and a back round check to standardize the lawsd nation wide instead of different laws in different counties in different states.

As for the butt plug that killed those 3 people we should refresh all those who forgot the value of life.

Bring back public hanging.

And erase all laws restricting the private ownership of firearms.

Congress shall pass no laws restricting the:

No Guns in this case .. just .. to show HOW SCREWED UP THE LAW IS >>> OK TO KILL A BABY

loophole in state law is preventing Campbell County investigators from charging a woman they say killed her newborn baby.

Deputies were called to a home in the 1200 block of Lone Jack Road in Rustburg about 11 a.m. Friday. The caller said a woman in her early 20s was in labor.

When deputies arrived, they discovered the baby had actually been born around 1 a.m., about 10 hours earlier. Investigators said the baby was already dead when deputies got there.

Investigators told WSLS the baby’s airway was blocked. They said the baby was under bedding and had been suffocated by her mother. Investigators said because the mother and baby were still connected by the umbilical cord and placenta, state law does not consider the baby to be a separate life. Therefore, the mother cannot be charged.

“In the state of Virginia as long as the umbilical cord is attached and the placenta is still in the mother, if the baby comes out alive the mother can do whatever she wants to with that baby to kill it,“ said Investigator Tracy Emerson. “She could shoot the baby, stab the baby. As long as it’s still attached to her in some form by umbilical cord or something it’s no crime in the state of Virginia.“

We need to even out the odds.. if someone knows that there is a really good chance there is a gun inside, they are much more likely to stay OUTSIDE!!

As the old saying goes............ "I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by six" ........ Matter of fact, I have that patch on one of my vests.
