Just sittin here relaxin and listenin to the seagulls glidin by..Wonderin with my mouth open at this whole embroidery of white clouds, blue hued skies, green trees, buzzin bees and swayin leaves. Took a moment to digest this panorama and formulate my thoughts of 'The Great Within'.. Sometimes i think that we-as a human species and collective organic breed-dont really deserve to be a part of this insanely beautiful world- what with all her intrinsically beautiful sunsets and reassuring warm sunrises-how com we just dont 'get it'..? God gave us dominion over the birds in the air and the fishes in the seas and with that responsibility he bestowed upon us thre responsibility of stewardship over these beautiful creations and yet 'we' have managed to consistently and creatively muck everything we put our hands on. Take for example a global instance: In the few short years we have existed upon this swirling organic globe of land masses and atmospheric wonders we have left an indelible fingerprint-more negative than positive-upon this 'rented' home of ours. We have raped and plundered mother earth with an incessant appetite disproportionate to our needs. We have polluted then seas and poisoned the air and have had the audacity to scale the highest mountain hights and proclaim that 'we' are kings and rulers of the world (through our ego-driven 'conquests'..). We have even made headways into disturbing the peace and security of the pouter cosmos in an attempt to furthur expand the human fingerprint and 'evolve and advance' our species. Do we really think for a second that the outer worlds in other adjoining galaxies would wish to know us and the poisons we bring upon their doorsteps. I dont think so,brothers and sisters.. I can understand why as of late the earth has been rebelling back against the heavy weight of our tramplin footsteps and our heavy tenant-ship. How much more can something living and breathing (Earth) endure before she revokes her peaceful reception and host to our race. All the earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, bizarre climate reactions, glob al warming etc. are all logical reactions to thousands of years of being erodes, raped, plundered, pillaged you name it we've done it to her (and by consequence to ourselves.). The ancient indigenous peoples of the world over were right when they recognized the unquenchable graspin of the modern man. We have surrendered any right to live in a peaceful co-existance with nature and her bio and ecosystems. We have made a mockery of God's laws and basic human rights. maybe im just ventin out here but from time to time i think about this and wanted to share with my CF people.. The Remedy? I think there could be one and its kinda simple. Actually, its so simple that im pretty sure we 'human beings' are sure to muck this one up to. Here goes.. Web spend so much time in mental masturbatory practices like 'talking' to God but do we actually spend as much time to 'LISTEN" to him. If not then we are all just entertaining ojurselves with one sided conversations. Hear God talk to you through a moment of silence. Rekindle your kinship with all our co-habitants on this earth (animals, nature, everything). NOW TRY TO GRADUALLY INTERNALIZE THIS CONVERSATION AND SLOWLY BEGIN THE PAINFUL PROCESS OF SHREDDING THE OLD SKIN AND PUTTIN ON THIS NEW SKKIN OF DEEPER UNDERSTANDING. Thats all i have to say for now. May everyone here always cradle in the palm of God's hands and be safe all.. -SingSing ______________________ |

I kinda get the "Gist" of what yer saying SingSing. You're talking about a relationship with Nature like some of my ancestors on my fathers' side of the family cultivated. (Native Americans, American Indians) Holding Mother Nature and the Earth in Reverance and as Sacred... Too bad the "White Settlers" that invaded this land a couple hundred years ago didn't learn more from them before they wiped most of them out... You're almost in a class with Defcon when putting down written word... Wonderfully put.... Thanks... |

It is my understanding that native Americans believed that they belonged to the land and that the land did not belong to us to use as we desire. The pieces of paper that the Europeans presented were inconceivable to them. How could anyone have ownership over the Earth? And so what happened to these beautiful people? Well, the fat cats keep getting richer and children go to bed hungry in the Good ole USA. And don't think for a second that big industry doesn't get away with dumping there wastes... still happens all the time... and we buy there products. |

Sing Sing my maybe not so crazy NY Brother............that was so well put not sure much can be added to your perspective...What I fear most is maybe Mother Earth is to badly damaged to repair herself. Like you said we have had many years to destroy her. Maybe it's time for God to take her from us all. Dragon ______________________ |

SingSing... Ya got me ta thinking (almost never do that, it scares me!) about all the Earthquakes we've been having all over the world. Going back to something you said about "Shaking us off". You know the Mayan Calendar does end in a couple of years? Kinda does make me wonder way back in the far corner of my consciousness if all these Earthquakes and Volcanic activity aren't leading up to something? Hmmm... |

Felt like you as well Brother Dragon; but I gotta believe we as human beings can somehow reach deep within ourselves and realise this earth belongs to god...Not us. We are its keepers and have been allowed to maintain it for our kids, grandkids and their children. Brotha Sing's words are spot on as g would say and Sister Inga has stated what is true as well. We MUST find a way to overcome the need for so much greed, power, and wealth that it blinds us from our true purpose here to all take care of each other. "In our innocence we see the beginning of life. In the tumult of life we understand the end. Everyone sees Beauty and the Ugliness that comes with it. Everyone knows Good and the Evil it creates". It's a beautiful world out there, but also nasty and ugly because of its keepers...I belive good always overcomes evil; even in the darkest moment....Peace to ya Brother ______________________ Amendment 28Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States . |

I have thought for many years that we are responsible for the footprint that we leave upon this Earth. If you go to the Caribbean most of the corals are dead. What used to be filled with vibrant colors and many different species of fish that lived off the corals or made their habitat are gone today. What a sad sight that is. The ferel bee colonies have been wiped out by blights. What happens when there are no more bees to pollenate the plants? No plant life can exist. The birds and all the insects die off. Bats are in danger today, frogs....the list goes on and on. We are responsible for chemical poisoning wildlife and making species extinct, no less the over hunting that went on, or species eradication that was practiced because we humans thought they were a nusance. That mind set still exists today with airial hunting permitted in some places out west and up in Alaska. We poison ourselves on a daily basis with chemicals in and around our homes and yards in ways we would never even think about. My Dad taught me about organic gardening when I was a child before organic became a cool thing to do. I still practice that today. I started recycling before recycling became the cool thing to do and more than once I have been called The Recycling Police. But, I have had an impact on places I've worked and lived, that did not practice those principles before I arrived. I agree with you how we have plundered this beautiful planet, thinking arragantly, that we being the supposed higher species have a right to take or do what we want without looking at the consequenses. Under ground nuclear testing? What kind of impact did that have on the planet. Siphoning all the oil out of the earth's crust, what does that do to the tetonic plates? We have not been good keepers to this planet at all and now we are suffering for it and I believe we have not seen the tip of the iceburg yet, with the destruction we have have caused. |

I remember some years ago a friend of mind said to me.......what if we wake up one morning and find ourselfs and all things around us being poured out of a test tube, and a deep voice saying...."well that didn't work"! Dragon ______________________ |

Wow! Yesterday put the taxes in the mail (hoo-hah) & went for a rip thru the boonies. There were farms, fields, forests, lakes, water falls, vineyards . . . and about all I can put to paper is that I saw some pretty countryside and a cute baby horsey. |
