Have you ever been to one? In 2000 I went to my thirty year reunion and didn't recognize ANY of the gal's, some of us guys survived though. I'm not seeing any plans for a forty year reunion yet this year. |

Went to my 25th year reunion, left after 2 beers. Too many people trying to be what they were not. I turned up on a bike, they looked down on it, but my only answer was ,,Lads and lassies everything i have i own, where as you lot are mortgaged up to your eyes. Pretentious shower of Siberian camel milkers the lot of 'em. ______________________ Tell me what you need and I'll tell you how to get along without it ! |

They charged $65.00 a piece for mine had to make a reservation. That would have been double to take the wife, we declined and went to the party the next day at the causeway. Everyone was pissed they ran out of Prime Rib before half the people even made it to the buffet. They brought out ham, chicken, beeny weeny, all kinds of shit. |

Went to my 10th in 90. WOW, I was married and 2 kids. A lot still in collage. Still acting as if they never left High School.... Now I have my 30 year this Aug 6-7th. Great, Deener and I had planed on leaving for Sturgis The 6th. (I hear there having a little get together) Now what do I do ? We already have plans for Rockin the River the following Friday, Sat, Sunday. So Do we go (Deeners never been to Sturgis) and shorten the sturgis trip ? I Keep in touch with a few Kats from school on Facebook. Would be kinda fun to see where and what so of the folks have been up to. Guess we could go to the Friday nite gig. It's a "mixer Classes '79,'80 and '81. Saturday it just us, appetizers and drinks. we are 1200 miles west of Sturgis so we could do it in 2 days. ______________________ ![]() Hearts of fire Streets of stone Modern warriors Saddle iron horses of chrome |

Funny things reunions. I went to one last year and found the same as Rory and night Dragon, every thing was messed up, except for the dumb asses for whom time has never moved on or are so disappointed with their own lives feel the need to re-capture when they thought they were Gods. It has been a long time since I hit anybody but I did that night, too much drink and a false sense of bravery made him think he was tougher than he was. He used to be the school bully, now he is the town joke and maybe I should not have but it felt good. Would I go to another one....no way! ______________________ It is better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not! |

If I didn't live 700+ miles from the high schools (plural) I attended, I'd probably try to attend at least one. But the dates they schedule for them always seem to be at a time when I couldn't get away from work or other commitments. Which one to attend would be a problem. I went to a total of 4 different high schools from 1971 to 1975. Like HighRisk, I keep track with a few of them via Facebook, along with people I served in the Army with. ______________________ "Never rub another man's rhubarb!" |

and he picked up his teeth. Rory will tell you, I am not easy to provoke but there comes a point and then you just got to let go. I took about two hours of him shouting at me across the room and the final straw was when he started mouthing off at the wife and that as they say was that. ______________________ It is better to be hated for what you are, than loved for what you are not! |

You know I have never made it to any class reunions. I left Florida when I was 26 years old. I already had a decent job, a wife and two young kids...but most of the people I hung out with in HS were either in jail, or still acting the same as they were in HS...no real job, plans, or family. There is only one person from my teenage years that I stay in touch with, and haven't heard anything from or about anyone else. Sometimes I think I would like to go back to a reunion, just to see where everyone is now that they are 50+, but I have never made it. There is also a part of me who doesn't want to know what some have become...I'd rather just keep the memories of what we had in HS. And then there is the fact that I am scared to find out who didn't make it to 50! I did go with Laura to her 20th a few years back. Kind of got the same feeling that others here have expressed, everyone trying to pretend they have become someone they are not. ______________________

The past ten years since my last one have lost several more friends, kinda sucks outliving the ones you had the most fun with and would enjoy seeing again. I suppose we'll all get together one day at the big reunion in the sky. |

When I went to my 20 year reunion, it was NOT what I expected at all. I don't keep in touch with anybody from school, except one girl. Like Lucky, I would rather just keep my high school memories the way they were. Besides, don't you want to hang out with me longer at Sturgis????????????? ______________________

didn't much care for most of them back then. Don't care to look them up now. The friends I care about, I have kept in touch with. The rest, who cares... Bet you can't guess, I'm really not a people person... LOL |

Was a rural, redneck attending a hi end HS. Town kids hated the "North Country" kids. After graduating never even went back into town. Blew off the reunions, assuming they had them. - Now have made peace w/ the world, had a great life, any damage done to me did not last past the first summer. Were they to have a reunion I would go. Did go to a college reunion. Terrific ride getting there. Had a good enough time. Now that I have time will go for as many college events as I can. My wife from Western PA goes to all of hers. - I go too & thoroughly enjoy myself. |

I attended my 20th in Chattanooga many moons ago and actually had a pretty good time. There were only about 50 that showed up from my class, and there were a lot of ole buddies I ran around with back then...so just like old times, we smoked a few and drank quite a bit while taking a boat ride up the TN River. I grew up with these people from elementary school and forward...then left Tenn after college. There's talk of a 35th this year...who knows if I'll make it. I know I had more hair than most!!!! |
