If you're planning to ride to Americade this year,,,,, there's a ride I can recommend.   FILL THE TANK - This ride is most of the day.
If you like small country towns, mountain roads and great scenery,,,,,
Go North on Route 9, out of Lake George, and then take a left on Route 28 also heading North until you get to Route 8.  Turn right and go South on Route 8, to Route 30 and turn left on Rt. 30 ( also South ), follow Rt. 30 ( maybe 13 miles and check your fuel before you leave Rt. 30 ),,,,,, until you get to,,,,,, Creek Road,  turn left ( East ) follow Creek Road until you get to Co. Rd. 7, also called Hope Falls Road, turn left, ( East ) and follow until you get to Rt. 9N.  Turn left, ( North ) on Rt. 9N will take you back to Lake George.

Congrats,,,,, you have just run a small section of the Adirondak Park in New York and witnessed some of the most spectacular riding scenery you'll find.   How did you like it ?

Please note:   Co. Rd. 7 / Hope Falls Road,,,, changes names a few times but,, keep riding East on the same road and you'll get to 9N.
ie;   Harrisburg Rd., Towne Rd.,  Co. Rd. 22, Co. Rd. 22, Hadley Rd., Stony Creek Rd. Co. Rd. 1,  etc.    ( The picture is Hadley Road )

As you ride along this route,,,, there are great places to check out such as the Stony Creek Inn, check the site and you'll make the stop.
( http://stonycreekinn.net ) It only has a couple rooms to rent, great food, fantastic ambience, ( if you like old, biker friendly places ) and good people.
