I've toned it down a lot in my life, especially since having children.  But, there are times when the ends doesn't necessarily have to justify the means.

My wife was riding the other day and a guy in a Mustang changed lanes and cut her off......close call but no incident.  Then, a few hundred yards later he had changed lanes and then seriously cut her off again.  So when she rolled up next to him at the next light she commented to him that he had cut her off twice and that he needed to  pay attention.  His response was "shut up you F'n C*nt".  So now I'm planning out the ass whippin' this guy is gonna take when I track him down.  Got his license, should jut take a couple days.

Now he appears to be in his early twenties and his limited life experience has obviously caused him to underestimate the patience inherent in my wife's husband when it comes to serving up some cold plated vengeance.

My question on this is not whether I should let this go, the outcome of this particular incident is a well foregone conclusion.  But, what kind of response do you all usually get when face to face with someone who nearly took you out on a bike?

Tie him to a chair & tell him you're gonna peel his skin off one layer at a time, then, after he shits his pants, tell him you're even & let him go. He scared you (your wife), you scared him, now you're even!

my immediate reaction 'at the scene' would probbly be kick his mirror, door, window, in... but then the real fight would start, followed by explainin ta the cops, etc

well he obviiously needs a life lesson - think of it as helping him out. without the lesson he may actually kill someone, at the very least he needs an education on the proper way in which to speak to a lady.

I like the tie him down plan, but you could end up with unlawful detainer or some crap - knock his ass down and dump a bottle of "Daves Insanity" sauce down his throat to teach him how to speak properly in mixed company.

LOL - it will take him a week before he can speak, but he will remember the lesson for a very long time.

last time someone turned in front of me i walked up to his van and ask if he was trying to kill me his response was"my Bad" but he had this smile on his face that kind of pissed me off so i reached into the van window grabbed him by the hair and introduced his forehead to the window sill and walked away.

  I also bet it was mom or dads car that he had.  but either way if he treats people like that he needs a life lesson.

DEFCON you know you and I think the same on this type subject, and I could not let this go myself without inflicting some pain lesions. Just be very careful where and when you do it. Don't do it on his turf, but follow him somewhere, where it's just you and he. Start off with the three closed fingers to the throat, then a solid right elbow to the face, followed up by a firm knee to the nuts. The last thing he should hear as his nuts are swelling is, ......the next time you cut off my wife in traffic and belittle her with that kind of cheap talk, I will hand your nuts to you in a popcorn sack.

nail his tiny pecker to a stump(he drives a mustang), soak the stump in lighter fluid, begin to set the stump on fire and hand him a butterknife! then politely explain who's wife that was. if that doesn't work,let me know. i'll be there in a few days. 

it is not worth going to jail for. Me, I would probably just go by and pull his oil drain plug or something like that. Then when you see him alongside the road with a blown motor, drive by and stop, and say " I was going to have a talk with you about cutting people off on motorcycles, But it looks like you are having a bad enough day." Smile and drive off.

All suggestions are good but gotta hang pretty much with dragon on this one. Besides, you know what to do when ya get him alone; you don't need our opinions on how to inflict pain. Seems the question is should you let it go and be a bigger man in yer mind or kick this feckers ass to hell and back fer disrespecting yer wife, you, and yer kids. You know what you want to do; now decide if it's all worth it to you and yer family in the end. Whatever ya decide, ya can't go wrong it's a case of ya living with yer decision....IMHO....Do what ya think ya got to do brother.

yeah, agree wid the above: at the end of the day ye know ta do what ya have ta do, but a rough lesson is needed, and fer his own good as well...
plus maybe i would find it quite easy ta act the bigger man if the slight had been directed at myself, but NOT if the injured / offended party were my auld lady, kids, or a weaker brother / sister
