| Event Description |
Come ride with more than a thousand motorcyclists are expected to rumble across Orange County and along the coast in this year's 9/11 Remembrance Ride.
The ride, founded and organized by Gary Biggerstaff, an engineer with the Long Beach Fire Department, kicks off by 8 a.m. Saturday at Cook's Corner when at least 1,000 bikers are expected to come out to the famed canyon biker bar.
At 12:15 p.m., the riders leave Cook's Corner following a Long Beach fire engine down El Toro Road, through Laguna Canyon and north along Pacific Coast Highway. There will be a regathering stop at Joe's Crab Shack in the Alamitos Bay Marina, L.B. around 2:00pm. This will be the only restroom and refreshment opportunity. We will depart from Joe's Crab Shack @ 2:40 sharp and head west on 2nd Right on Appian. Follow to Marine Stadium Entrance
This year, the ride will end at a park in Long Beach where there will be 343 crosses etched with the names and the station of the New York City firefighters who perished in the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers. The memorial will be held at Marine Vista Park in Long Beach starting at 2:45 p.m.
