The 2009 Maryland Delaware State H.O.G. Rally is set in the picturesque Washingtonian Center, an open air shopping center with its own lake, restaurants and shopping. Rain or shine, we have plenty of activities for you at this year’s rally.
Our rides, both Road Captain lead and self-lead, will take us to historical sites such as Harper’s Ferry, Antietam Battlefield, and Maryland’s Washington Monument. We also feature several ABC’s of Touring rides, a dealership loop, observation rides, and an LOH lead ride. On Friday night we will take a moon light ride down to the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial and the National Mall
For you early birds, on Thursday evening we will have a special private screening of the World’s Fastest Indian just for rally participants at the AMC Cineplex featuring stadium seating. On Friday we feature a dinner with live comedy before the moonlight ride down to the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial. On Saturday afternoon we hold the field events with the continuation of the Top Gun Challenge, open to those who think they are aces at HOG competitions. And on Saturday evening our Bike Show will close part of Main Street and is highlighted by the 2nd Annual Best of the First and the Free where each Maryland and Delaware HOG chapter has sent their best Harley to be judged the winner of this coveted title for a full year.
When not riding come listen to a seminars featuring National HOG leadership, the Maryland State Police, local chapters, executives of the Harley-Davidson motor company, and much more. You’ll get a lot of information before you go out riding for the day or in between rides. If you like to walk, or if we have rain, we will have walking poker runs and walking scavenger hunts. If you want to attend a HOG rally this year with non-stop events, riding, and activities, this is the one to come to.
