Business User Rules & Guidelines
Business Member Qualifications
The Business User status is reserved for businesses that directly sell products or services related to motorcycles, bikers or motorcycle enthusiasts. This would include, but not limited to, motorcycle sales & service, motorcycle parts, motorcycle clothing, biker friendly bars, biker friendly restaurants, biker friendly lodging, motorcycle rider training, tattoo shops, etc. This does not include companies who solely promote motorcycle events, clubs, organizations, or groups. These organizations must sign up as a Personal User where you will still have the ability to list and promote all of your events.
If you have questions about whether or not you qualify for a Business Membership, just contact us with a description of your business, and a link to your website (where applicable). We will review your business and let you know if it qualifies as a Business Member on CycleFish.

Rules for Business Members
- Under no circumstances is any business, or anyone acting on behalf of a business that is a member of CycleFish permitted to use the CycleFish messaging service to send unsolicited messages to any user of the CycleFish website or services. This is a Zero Tolerance policy. The first report we get of a business spamming our users will result in immediate termination of the business profile!
- Do not send mass friend requests to users solely for the purpose of promoting your business.
- Do not use the forum, blogs, or any other area of the website (with the exception of your business profile) to post unsolicited ads or promotion of your business. As a registered business user, we welcome you to respond to other's posts if your business can help out.
Example: If someone makes a post saying they are looking for a custom part, feel free to reply and tell them that your shop carries the part, and include a link to your profile or give them your contact information. We have no problem with that.
Note: If you have upgraded your business account, you may post any information about your business in our CycleFish Busineeses Talk forum. - Do not place your business logo or banner anywhere on the site with the exception of YOUR profile page. This includes other users comment areas, forums, blogs, etc.
- Do not post items in the Event Calendar such as Sales, or Discount Days. The Event Calendar is to be used only for motorcycle events which are destinations for riders.
All business accounts must also abide by our Terms of Service. We reserve the right to disallow any business which in our sole discretion we feel is not appropriate to advertise on the CycleFish website, and we may remove any account and all related information with or without reason, and without prior notification.
Business Member Profile Requirements
These requirements are in place for three very important reasons; (1) We want our business listing to have a consistent look and feel, (2) We want all of our users to be able to easily find what they are looking for, and to always have a positive user experience, and (3) We want all of our business members to have success in promoting their business on CycleFish.
- All Business Profiles must have the Quick Intro and About Our Business sections of their profile completed.
- All Business Profiles must have a profile image. This can be a logo, picture of a product, or picture of your business location.
- All businesses promoting a physical location must have the business address filled out completely (street address, city, state, and zip code)
Online only businesses should not complete the address setion. A PO Box may NOT be used as an address. - All business information must be accurate. If you do not wish to complete a field, do not add something inaccurate to the field just to fill it.
- Any business displaying their website address (URL) must ensure the link and the website are functional. (Website under construction is NOT acceptable)
Selecting Business Categories
- Select ONLY the categories that directly fit your business.
If you are a Biker Friendly Bar that sells one t-shirt with your logo, that does not qualify you for the Apparel Category
- Do NOT use the category "Other Biker Service" unless you have a unique business that does NOT fit another category.
- If you feel you have a business category we should add to our list, please contact us and let us know.
Intentionally listing your business in categories where it does not belong will result in removal of your profile.
Public vs. Private Posting
Depending on your subscription level you may notice when posting to the site (creating Photo Albums, Blogs, etc) that you have the ability to determine who can see these items. We ask that you use this feature responsibly, and consider the image of CycleFish when making the choice of who can view your postings. If you have an interesting topic for a blog, or photo albums that would be of interest to the general public (including pictures of your products or business) feel free to set "Who Can See This" to "Everyone". This means that all visitors to our website, registered or not, can view the content. If you are creating a photo album with pictures of your family, or your new dog to share with our users you have come to know here at CycleFish, please mark "Who Can See This" as "All Registered Users" only.
