What the???

  • So after riding the smokies and playing a little in North Carolina   I return to my childhood stomping grounds.   Got  some catching up  to do with friends and business people.  But mostly was missing my family.  After getting business done, well started and rolling I make a date to go riding with my sister and some friends.   Day comes and woohoo fun with friends riding what little curves there are here.  I was being overly  cautious as I was with my sister and not only the boys I am use to playing with.  Trying to set a good example, did not work but I tried... You know only going 5 over posted speed, coming to a complete stop and actually putting my feet down when I did stop.  Anyway one of the boys needs gas so we stop to get fuel.

I had heard a metal hit metal sound so when he was fueling I was checking out my bikes ass end,  where the sound was coming from... Any way friend tells me, you lead in the curves or you are going to be bored and upset following our slow  butts through the curves, he knows me so well.  So we take off with me in lead, was not even a mile and all of a sudden a metal clanging sound.  I pulled over and put the kick stand down to check the Submarine out.  Did not take but one second to see the rear sproket broke.  Never have I ever had that happen to me.  Never had I heard of that happening to anyone I know... So long story short, told friends to go get trailer as I am not going to ride  the 40 miles back to the garage or 45 to nearest shop.  Yep I am kind of a sissy that way.
