Keanu Reeves' Arch Motorcycle Company Releases First Bike

  Actor Keanu Reeves has teamed up with bike builder Gard Hollinger to launch the Arch Motorcycle Company to release their first bike, the KRGT-1.  The sleek and VERY EXPENSIVE Sport Bike will be selling for a cool $78,000 !!!  (Guess he will be selling most of them to his Beverly Hills neighbors)  Personally I don't see the finished bike being worth that much, but do understand why the cost is so high... its the manufacturing process.  One example is the gas tank is machined from 534 pounds of billet aluminum. This 66 hour process yields two 9 pound fuel cells which are then custom finished and joined. So basically there is 524 pounds of billet aluminum shavings on the floor. Another would be ARCH billet aluminum swingarm requires over 17 hours of machining. Hidden behind its strong sculpted exterior, pocketing and wire channels reduce weight by 55 percent. Titanium adjusters and a hollow chromoly axle complete the assembly.

  Maybe not for everyone, the Arch KRGT-1 is definately a head turning peice of art for those that can afford it.
