Prior to being sideswiped by a car, while on my way to cook Thanksgiving Dinner for the needy, which resulted in the amputation of my left leg I rode my bike rain, sleet, heat, or shine and averaged 12000 to 15000 miles a year. While the driver of the car only got a ticket for changing lanes without signalling, I lost my leg, my business, and my life as I knew it. I am now forced to live off the generosity of strangers. However, I am determined to ride again once I raise the $3700 to pay for the conversion of my bike to a trike,
